Securika Moscow 2018: Post-show results

Press release
More great exhibition results for Securika Moscow - 18,379 visitors over 4 days
Between 20-23 March 2018, the 24th edition of the Securika Moscow international security technology and fire protection exhibition took place.

The event was held at the Expocentre in the heart of Moscow’s business district.

In 2018, Securika Moscow hosted 435 exhibitors from 25 countries worldwide – 67% of which are the Russian manufacturers and distributors. A National Pavilion, featuring Chinese companies, was a key highlight.

In total, the exhibition covered 25,370 m2.

Over Securika’s four days, 18,379 professionals attended the show, 82% of which were potential buyers. 15,010 event attendees held purchasing power.

The bulk of 2018’s visitors were return visitors, helping the event achieve excellent results once more.

International & Russian brands choose Securika Moscow

The largest companies in security and fire protection continued to use Securika Moscow as a base to boost brand awareness, meet new and existing clients, and continue to grow their sales throughout Russia.

International companies taking part included:

• Panasonic
• Honeywell
• Assa Abloy
• Asus
• Siemens
• Axis Communications

Domestic manufacturers were also well represented at the show. Russian participants included Bolid, Argus-Spektr, ARMO, Roselecom, PERCO, RUBEZH, Sigur-Access Control, and many more domestic industry leading brands.

More Russian visitors attend Securika Moscow 2018

The number of visitors from the Russian Regions grew this year, amounting to 5.246 specialists (29% of the whole exhibition). This was a small 2% rise, but significant none the less, as it extended Securika Moscow’s geographic coverage.

Svetlana Kotova, Director of Development at the PozhTechnika Group, noted all major Russian security and fire protection solutions manufacturers were present at the exhibition.

Securika Moscow is Russia’s flagship industry event – something the show’s attendees will confirm.

Exhibitors meet their business goals

Exhibitors were quick to praise the event this year. Securika helped them complete their business goals in 2018.

PozhTekhnika’s Financial Director Igor Ogay, for instance, noted that more top-level managers were in attendance this year. The company was able to meet a great number of high-quality buyers, as well as negotiating with key decision makers while at the show.

Andrey Golubev, Marketing Director at Rubezh, said that Securika Moscow remains a top venue for exhibitors to achieve their business and marketing aims. He particularly praised the event’s capability for product promotion and providing a platform for face-to-face communication – a rarity in the digital age.

“Our clients are very special to us. Some of them help us bring our solutions to life, and others make it possible to make those solutions available in every corner of the world,” Mr Golubev said. “Participation in Securika Moscow gives us the chance to meet our target clients and partners in one venue, show our latest achievements and developments, discuss our future plans and prospects, and share our feelings and experiences.”

Securika Moscow’s new business matchmaking services

2018 welcomed two big developments for Securika, designed to make matchmaking between exhibitors and visitors a smoother process.

The first was Securika’s new smartphone and web app. Users were able to find the manufacturers/partners they wished to meet at the show quickly, and make appointments with them while at the show. The app’s user-friendly interface meant meetings were quickly organised and held without any hassle.

Secondly, Securika Connect aided business during the exhibition. What is Securika Connect? It’s a brand-new service that gives more value to exhibitors stands. Visitor e-ticket readers were installed at stands throughout the show, letting exhibitors collect lots of useful data on who visited their stand. Likewise, visitors who scanned their tickets were directly sent information on their companies of interest digitally.

Regarding Securika Connect, Sergey Chernov, Deputy General Director of Argus-Spektr’s Moscow office, said: “This is a very convenient tool for processing information and segementing visitors. Having the scanner on our stand provided additional value for our company, as we managed to provide the easiest level of servicing for our visitors.”

Event’s Business Programme continues to wow

As usual, Securika Moscow’s Business Programme was intensive, comprised of specific conferences, competitions, training sessions, and guest presentations. This year, the programme was significantly expanded, including five main events:

Future of Security forum
Contemporary CCTV Market: Challenges & Solutions conference
Fire Security of Unique & Complex Facilities conference
Integrated Security Systems conference
Internet of Things in Engineering Systems Automation conference

Future of Security evoked great interest amongst Securika’s professional visitors. International and Russian experts, including speakers from Rostelecom, Technoserv, Intel, Norlisky Nickel, HIS Markit, and special guest Ben Hammersley, famous British futurologist and digital technology communicator, discussed the latest trends in the Russian security market. More than 350 security specialists visited the forum.

In total, over 80 speakers and 2,000 delegates took part in Securika Moscow’s business programme.

The results of the Best Innovative Product Competition were announced during the exhibition. This contest has been held annually since 1996, recognising and rewarding the best fire protection and security solutions available today.

In 2018, the jury reviewed 29 product presentations from 29 Russian and foreign companies. From this shortlist, 12 prizes were awarded to the most innovative products in global security.

Across the exhibition’s four days, manufacturers of security systems demonstrated up-to-date solutions, innovative approaches to system design and installation, and non-standard concepts of security at the event’s presentation area.

WEY Technology and Knurr showcase a solution for efficient security control centre management. ARMO-Systems presented a new innovation called “Bosch Security System”, featuring street rotary CCTV cameras and integrated optical and thermal imaging units.

DormaKaba demonstrated their world-renowned Matrix One Integrated System at Securika Moscow, aligning security’s contemporary market requirements with its product portfolio. Elsewhere, Hikvision brought a machine intelligence system for cloud security systems, while Sigur showed new readers based on secured identification by smartphones and proximity cards.
